To the family of Barbara,
I moved into Mission Hills almost 4-years ago and your mother and I met shortly after that. She was always so friendly and so very sweet. I met many of your family members at the pool over the past few summers and Barbara shared with me all the plans that were made when you were all in town together. Your mother/grandmother/great-grandmother was a beautiful woman who adored her family and that devotion was very obviously reciprocated. I am very sorry for your loss. May your many wonderful memories of her be a blessing.

I spent just a few hours with you and your family in your parents home between the ceremony of one of the boys becoming a Bar Mitzvah and the evening celebration. When I walked in the house I felt instantly welcomed and felt the love of family, of faith and will never forget the anniversary quilt/ art on the wall. Your parents set an amazing example and they are so proud of the women, wife, mother and daughter and friend you became,. May her memory always be for a blessing.

Barbara and I were friendly since Bnai Tikvah and now at Beth Shalom. For several years we were in a book group together. Barbara always had a special way of expressing herself, and even if her view was a little, or a lot different from another speaker, she expressed herself in a courteous and thoughtful manner. I will miss her lovely smile, her warm greeting and, always, special conversation….

To the family of Barbara Render:
I am extremely saddened to hear of the passing of your mother and grandmother. I had tears in my eyes when I read her obituary. Barbara and I took Hebrew class together at
B’nai Tikvah with Shlomo on Monday nights. We struck up a very close friendship. I ended up being bat mitvahed when I was 42, and now I am almost 71. I am so pleased that she was able to be bat mitzvahed also, especially at 85! Every time we ran into each other we would exchange hugs and catch up on how we and our families were doing.
The last time I saw her was at Rhapsody Cafe where she was lunching with a friend and so was I. We were so happy to see each other. Barbara was a vibrant, intelligent, loving, caring and giving person. Her smile lit up a room. Her laughter was contagious. Even though we did not see each other that often, when we did, it was so wonderful to connect. Renee, I would run into you once in a while and when I did I always inquired how your mom was. Please accept my deepest condolences. The world has lost an amazing person. And I feel her loss also.
